Get Yourself in the Game - Tips for Pitching a Winning Business Plan

Upon completion of this session, participants will have tips to take their business plan back and pitch it.

Format: This session will involve a workbook where the participants will define their idea and create their pitch. Participants will be encouraged to create a SWOT analysis, understand their audience, socialize their idea and create a pre-pitch (with another participant or in groups).

Facilitator: Jean Rakich, Director, Training, Consulting & Implementation Services, Thomson Reuters and 2013 Most Powerful Women in Accounting List

Learning Objectives:

Participants will examine the components of a business plan.
Participants will define their idea.
Participants will understand the difference between socialization and a pre-pitch.

Agenda:

5:00 - 5:20 pm Buffet Dinner & Informal Networking

5:20 - 5:35 pm Welcome & Introductions

5:35 - 6:45 pm Presentation & Activities

6:45 - 7:00 pm Learning Wrap-Up & Meeting Close

Registration: (sign up by April 28 and save $5!)

Chapter members = $20
Student members = $15
Non-member guests = $40 (Join now and save up to $25!)

Registrations are not considered definite or confirmed until payment has been submitted.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations will be accepted until 5 pm on Friday, April 25.

Cancellations received prior to this time/date should be requested in writing and sent to finance@a2astd.org
Refunds will be issued either (1) by check (less a $5 processing fee) and will be mailed to the address on file or (2) transferred to the next scheduled A2ASTD meeting date.

Refunds after April 25 cannot be issued, but we will gladly accept a substitution should you wish to send someone in your place.
