Ann Arbor ATD in collaboration with ATD Detroit, ATD Greater Toledo and ATD Central Ohio chapters brings you:


Learn how to create engaging and interactive branching scenarios where learners may choose their own paths through your content. Participants will learn how to design a realistic conversation scenario to depict a job-related task. This session is a good continuation of your learning from the A2ATD "Zero to Publishing" workshop, but anyone with basic proficiency in the features of Storyline 360 is welcome!


Objectives

  • Explain to project stakeholders during course development why branching scenarios are effective for learner engagement

  • Create interactive branching scenarios in Storyline 360

  • Set completion of a course based on multiple scenario endings

About the Presenters:


Laurel Schulert is a Content Developer for SAP Concur, where her primary responsibilities include the creation of eLearning courses and other training materials to support her organization’s global sales enablement department. Prior to her career in instructional design, Laurel taught secondary English in North Carolina from 2008-2013 and was an adjunct professor of English as a Foreign Language at Wake Technical Community College from 2012-2014. Laurel earned a Master of Science in Education in Learning Design and Technology from Purdue University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Eastern Michigan University in 2007. Laurel also holds the Master Performance Consultant and Project Management  for Learning Professionals certificates through ATD!


Jennifer Shelden is a Senior Instructional Designer with SAP Concur with an interest in creating beautiful, informative learning materials. Her eye for design and layout help her to create, edit, and present materials that catch and keep the audience's attention, and aid in learning retention. Primarily focusing on virtual learning, Jennifer creates eLearning, virtual session assets, and written learning materials in her current role. Jennifer holds the Master Instructional Designer certification through ATD, as well as the Storyline 2 and Advanced eLearning certificates. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Learning Design and Technology – Instructional Design and Adult Learning from the University of Colorado Denver.
