Power Messaging: Engaging Your Audience


How do you keep an audience engaged when there is so much competition for their attention? You are invited to a Power Messaging session led by Jason Phelps. Learn how to improve presentations through having better conversations, and how to deliver a message so compelling that your audience will remember the concepts long after the presentation has ended.

In this session, we'll look into some ways you can tap into your inner creativity:

  • Bring memorable insights to your presentations
  • Grab and retain audience attention
  • Use stories to make your message memorable

      Registrations are not considered definite or confirmed until payment has been submitted.

      Cancellations & Refunds:

      Cancellations will be accepted until 5 pm on Friday, September 1st

      • Cancellations received prior to this time/date should be requested in writing and sent to finance@a2atd.org.
      • Refunds will be issued either (1) by check (less a $5 processing fee) and will be mailed to the address on file or (2) transferred to the next scheduled A2ATD meeting date.

      Refunds after Friday, September 1st at 5 pm cannot be issued, but we will gladly accept a substitution should you wish to send someone in your place.

      About the Presenter:

       




      Jason Phelps is a Team Lead for the Training Consulting & Implementation Services department at Thomson Reuters. He began his career with Thomson Reuters in 2006 as an account representative. After a number of years in both sales and product support, he moved to TCIS, presenting web-based training for the CS Professional Suite. He has also traveled to seminars and trade shows presenting demonstrations for Thomson Reuters products and services. Jason currently leads a team of trainers who educate firms around the country on Thomson Reuters products and services. In addition to his role within the TCIS, Jason is the lead of the Train the Trainer program, developing talent with employees new to their training roles. Jason is a mentor and coach to both new and experienced trainers within the company. He also works with sales, marketing, and product management in his role as Certified Facilitator for Corporate Visions Power Messaging. 

      Jason obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, majoring in Jazz and Improvisational Studies. Also a professional musician, Jason performs throughout the Detroit area and has toured both Japan and the United States with various bands. He plays bass for jazz quartet Liquid Street and at NorthRidge Church in Plymouth, Michigan. Jason is married to Renae Taylor Phelps, a sales and training consultant with Thomson Reuters.


      Jeneen McNally, President of Speak So They Listen, LLC is a Corporate Trainer, Coach, Interviewer, and Business Developer. She is also the Director of Sales for the University of Michigan Operations Leadership Workshop.


      She coaches and presents workshops about how to "Speak So They Listen"...speaking and presenting so you are listened to AND understood in: 1-1 conversations, meetings, and giving presentations.
